Aliens love us. I mean they really, REALLY love us.

Not in that warm and fuzzy, give presents for no reason way that keeps Hallmark in business and makes the world a lovely place to be.

No, we’re talking about the way they keep invading the hell out of good old planet Earth which is so damn attractive that innumerable extraterrestrial visitors are practically forming a queue near Jupiter to get up close and personal with us, or more to the point, our resources.

In Netflix’s upcoming sci-fi film Extinction, they’re at it again, blasting and bombing us back to the Stone Age, death and destruction all around.

The weird part about this invasion is that protagonist Peter has been getting visions of this latest violent alien visitation for months; he’s consigned them to the “bad dreams” bin but they’re actually the real, Nostradamus in a 9-to-5 routine deal and when it all goes down, the people of Earth finding themselves trapped in Peter’s nightmares which is no fun for anyone.

Except the aliens – they’re LOVING IT.

Extinction premieres on Netflix on 27 July.
