The Force is strong with this collective of creative minds from across the galaxy! Starting with a blank prototype of our Deluxe R2-D2 Sixth Scale Figure, Sideshow invited over 90 friends and fans to participate in customizing the iconic droid with a brand new look. There’s no denying that R2D2, along with all the other characters from George Lucas’s iconic Star Wars franchise – with the exception of Jar Jar Binks of which the less said the better – is a pop culture phenomenon.

And recently at the 2015 Star Wars Celebration a bunch of super-taleted artists brought together by Sideshow Collectibles gave the sweetly bleeping, super-capable droid one more leg up the icon ladder by imagining what would happen if he to hang out on Sesame Street and journey through the strange post-apocalytpic land of Ooo with Finn and Jake.

The results as you can see are damn near brilliant, imaginative re-imaginings of Artoo as a host of other pop culture icons that, if it’s possible, make you love the little blue-and-white guy even more than you already do.

For even more really cool pop culture collectibles, check out Sideshow Collectibles.
